What you will find
In our preschool room, you'll find books and puppets in a cosy setting. Books are used frequently in most learning activities to encourage children to use them. We use ICT tools, including assisted use of tablets to explore and find out information and puzzles with a range of difficulties.
Children can use materials for collages that are ideal for creative workshops; small- and large-scale constructions; loose and open-ended pieces; and small-world resources. There are plenty of opportunities to write and mark things on; paint, art, and craft supplies; sand and water; and space for crayoning. Visual tools for literacy and numeracy are also used along with malleable materials like clay and play dough.
Music is a big part of our curriculum. Along with CD players, musical instruments, moving and dancing; dressing up and role-playing. There is also excellent access to the outdoors, where children can freely move around and engage in outdoor play.
By offering a language-rich atmosphere, including interest tables, and writing places, we will assist your child on their path to becoming a successful reader and writer.
